My 11 years of experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized care. I treat several mental health disorders and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples. If you are looking for a caring but straightforward therapist; who will guide you while exploring solutions to help you pass your current roadblock, then I’m the counselor for you.
If you feel stuck in a rut, have lost that drive in your life or you just need help getting over a bump in the road, you are not alone.
I have worked with a variety of people and age groups, including young professionals transitioning into the world of adulthood, college students, parents, families and adults with chronic severe mental illness. I can help you too.
I use a variety of evidence-based techniques to guide my clients from the feeling of being "stuck". I work with busy professionals and stay at home parents trying to manage depression and anxiety .
I promise to be there for you in every step of your journey. The goal of therapy is to help you grow from your struggles and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the common and troubling emotions that we all experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling you can revive the motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Changes in life, no matter how good, can cause stress. Finishing high school, earning the grades necessary to get into college or changing a career after many dedicated years, are all big changes that can sometimes amplify our anxiety levels. Transitions and making changes in our lives can cause stress even in the most well-adjusted college bound students.
Relationship counseling is beneficial to families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection and work through difficult times. I have been working with families and parents since 2007.
There are many different models, techniques and approaches to therapy. I use and have been trained in evidence-based therapies such as, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on both thoughts and behaviors. I am trained in solution-focused therapy which is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions. I have training in Community Resiliency Model (CRM) which has strategies for helping you to reduce your own stress as well as stressed out or upset children. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR therapy includes a set of standardized protocols that incorporate elements from many different treatment approaches.
I focus on helping individuals through goal-oriented therapy that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and helps individuals become aware of their inner strengths.
